Do I have to pay for the services I will receive at Kings Rehabilitation Center?

No. Individuals with disabilities do not have to pay for the services they receive at Kings Rehabilitation Center. Payment is made by Central Valley Regional Center or the referring school system. 3. How do you determine what would be the best job for me? Through careful assessment of your interests and vocational goals we work to place you in the best environment for your skills. We have a wide range of possible employment opportunities and our desire is to place you in work you'll enjoy doing.

Would I be required to work at Kings Rehabilitation Center before I could be placed on a job with a community employer?

No, while some individuals do choose to work in one of our in house projects for a while, many individuals that we serve go directly into community jobs. Our objective is to provide the best combination of work and work training for each person.

Will I be paid for work done while I am learning a job?

Yes. Kings Rehabilitation Center follows U.S. Department of Labor rules regarding wages paid to people with disabilities while learning how to work. In supported employment Kings Rehabilitation Center pays productivity-based wages that are tied to community standards. If you are working in a our individual placement program, you will be paid on the wage scale of the employer for who you are working. 6.

If I'm employed will my SSI benefits be affected?

Yes, your SSI benefits will be affected in ratio to your earnings. However your employment compensation will be greater than what you would receive from your SSI benefit alone. 7. What safety training will I receive before being placed in employment? Several safety training protocol courses are conducted monthly to keep our staff and clients safe. They include; emergency procedures, fire safety, high voltage, safety notification signs and protective health measures. 8. Will transportation be provided to my job? Yes, Kings Rehabilitation Center provides transportation to and from your place of supported employment unless you are an individual placement then you'd be responsible for your own transportation.
